Former PRFC full back brings two seasons of experience to squad

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Saint Louis FC announced on Wednesday the club had signed defender Kyle Culbertson, pending league and federation approval.

“Kyle is an accomplished left-back with a very competitive attitude,” said STLFC Head Coach Anthony Pulis. “He is quick, has an excellent left foot, is good technically, and is very polished as a defender. I’m pleased to have signed him and add him to an already-competitive group.”

Culbertson spent the past two seasons with Puerto Rico FC, where he made 36 appearances after a collegiate career that saw him compete for the University of Akron, Columbia University, and Ohio State University. A former member of the Columbus Crew SC Academy, Culbertson also competed in the Premier Development League for both the Mississippi Brilla and Charlotte Eagles prior to turning professional.

“I am beyond thrilled to be joining such a great club and fully believe in what Anthony is building here,” said Culbertson. “I am excited to play in front of the St. Louligans and get started in what I believe will be a special year in St. Louis.”
