A high-scoring weekend of action in the USL Championship delivered top quality among the bounty of goals the league’s clubs scored, including top shelf long-range finishes and a clever solution to a rarely seen problem. They’re among our picks of four of the top finishes, now it’s up to you to pick the winner of the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week presented by Select.

USL Championship Goal of the Week – Week 8

Clay Holstad (RI) - #RIvPHX, 4/26/24: Holstad powered home a finish from an innovative free kick routine that showed how to execute an indirect free kick inside the opposing penalty area brilliantly.

Aaron Molloy (CHS) - #CHSvLV, 4/27/24: The two-time Championship All-League selection capped his side’s six-goal display with a brilliant piece of technique, curling home a first-time finish on the right from 30 yards out into the top-left corner of the net.

Luke Haakenson (SA) - #MIAvSA, 4/27/24: Haakenson produced a spectacular volleyed finish from the top of the penalty area top the top-right corner of the net after a precise set-up from 2023 Golden Playmaker winner Jorge Hernandez.

Elijah Wynder (LOU) - #LOUvHFD, 4/27/24: The 21-year-old LouCity Academy product got the ball rolling on his side’s six-goal performance with a beautiful piece of technique to control a first-time shot out of midair and put it into the right corner of the net.
