Richmond Kickers news and notes
Current record: 7-14-8, 29pts
The Kickers earned a 1-0 win against the Rochester Rhinos last Saturday night at City Stadium, but were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention due to results elsewhere over the course of the weekend.
Mikey Minutillo scored the only goal of the game against the Rhinos off an assist from goalkeeper Travis Worra, a first assist in Worra’s career.
William Yomby was named to the USL Team of the Week following his performance in the match as he recorded six interceptions and nine clearances in performing a vital role in the win.
This match is the final home match of the season for Richmond, and should the Kickers manage welcome a crowd of more than 5,000 fans to City Stadium for the contest it would push the club past an average of 4,500 fans per game for the first time in its history.
Richmond has been on a run in recent weeks having won four of its last six matches, its best form of the season.
