USL Championship Player of the Month Nominees – April

The second month of the season brought some standout performers, who gets your vote?

TAMPA, Fla. – The USL Championship announced on Thursday the nominees for the USL Championship Player of the Month award Presented by Konami eFootball for March, honoring four of the top performers throughout the second month of the 2024 season as they take their place on the ballot.

Voting in the Championship Player of the Month Award will be conducted by the following three voting bodies:

  • A fan vote on USLChampionship.com will comprise 51 percent of the poll. The fan vote will run through Monday, May 6 at 12 p.m. ET.

  • The USL Technical Committee’s ballots comprise 25 percent of the poll.

  • The USL National Media Panel’s ballots comprise 24 percent of the poll.

The award winner and complete voting results will be announced on Thursday, May 9.

Please note: The USL Championship Player of the Month selection process in no way is tied directly to the voting and selection process of End of the Year awards such as USL Championship Most Valuable Player or position players of the year.

USL Championship Player of the Month – April 2024

Nick Markanich, Charleston Battery – The 24-year-old led the Championship with eight goals and notched three assists in five appearances as he posted an average of a goal every 48.3 minutes.

Manuel Arteaga, Tampa Bay Rowdies – The Venezuelan forward recorded three goals and one assist to lead the Rowdies to an undefeated month and posted a league-best Goals Added mark of +2.63 per American Soccer Analysis.

Remi Cabral, Phoenix Rising FC – The French forward recorded five goals in four appearances for Rising, averaging a goal every 71.4 minutes while posting a 38.5 shot conversion rate.

Jackson Lee, Rhode Island FC – The Australian goalkeeper recorded the first two shutouts in Rhode Island FC history and over the month recorded 13 saves, a 76.5 save percentage and a -2.05 Goals Prevented mark.
