ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Rowdies announced on Tuesday that midfielder Ryan Spaulding had been recalled from his loan at the club by the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer.
Spaulding arrived in Tampa Bay in late April and made his Rowdies debut in the club’s away trip to San Diego Loyal SC. The 24-year-old made nine appearances in the USL Championship play for the Rowdies and recorded two goals and four assists playing primarily on the left flank.
Spaulding recorded assists in four consecutive games for the Rowdies, a feat which earned him nomination for the USL Championship’s Player of the Month award in May. He was also selected to the USL Championship Team of the Week twice during his time with Tampa Bay.
