San Diego Loyal SC’s Duran Ferree posted his second shutout in as many starts for the United States U-17 Men’s National Team on Wednesday night, helping the side earn a 1-0 victory against Canada at the Estadio Pensativo in Guatemala and finish top of its group at the Concacaf U-17 Championship.
The first player to sign professionally with SD Loyal from its Loyal Select program last season, Ferree posted a three-save shutout, allowing second-half substitute Keyrol Figueroa’s goal in the 64th minute to stand as the game-winner. Having previously posted a shutout in the United States’ opening game, a 5-0 victory against Barbados on Saturday night, Ferree put in a composed performance against Canada, completing all 26 of his passes and handling smoothly throughout.
