CINCINNATI – FC Cincinnati saw its Cinderella run in the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup come to a dramatic end on Wednesday night in a 3-2 defeat against the New York Red Bulls in the tournament’s semifinals as Bradley Wright-Phillips sent the MLS side through with a pair of goals.
Cincinnati again saw another historic night in the stands, however, as a sellout crowd of 33,250 at Nippert Stadium proved the second-largest in Open Cup history. Check out some of the best photos from the night, as FCC and its fans again took center stage in North American soccer.
