United States U20 World Cup Squad in the USL

  • Center back Justen Glad appeared for Real Monarchs SLC in the 2015 season, and is now a key player for the U.S. U20s and Real Salt Lake.
  • Glad started in all six games of the 2017 CONCACAF U20 Championship, helping the side earn the title for the first time.
  • Tommy Redding signed with Orlando City SC in 2014 ahead of the club's final year in the USL, and made 17 appearances in his first professional season.
  • Redding was also ever-present in the starting lineup for the United States at the CONCACAF U20 Championship, where he logged 115 completed passes.
  • Tyler Adams was the first signing in New York Red Bulls II history in 2015, and last season helped the side claim the USL Cup in just its second season.
  • Adams appeared for the United States at the FIFA U17 World Cup two years ago, and is now ready to make an impact at the next level.
  • Sebastian Saucedo appeared for the Real Monarchs in the club's inaugural season, logging two assists in seven games for the side.
  • One of five players from the Real Salt Lake organization named to the squad, Saucedo has emerged as a strong creative threat for club and country.
  • Derrick Jones was the first signing in Bethlehem Steel FC history prior to the club's inaugural season in 2016. He recorded five goals and three assists in 26 appearances, and has gone on to make his MLS debut for the Philadelphia Union this year.
  • Born in Ghana, Jones had yet to receive international clearance to compete at the CONCACAF U20 Championship, but could now add a significant boost in the center of midfield.
  • Jeremy Ebobisse made his professional debut for the Charleston Battery in the 2016 USL season, and notched his first professional goal for the club. Selected by the Portland Timbers in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft, Ebobisse made his MLS debut on May 6 against San Jose after making a pair of appearances for the Timbers 2 in the USL.
  • A powerful center forward, Ebobisse started five out of six games at the CONCACAF U20 Championship to help the side take the title.
  • Erik Palmer-Brown has been one of the standout defenders in the USL this season, currently sitting with the highest pass completion rate of any player in the league.
  • Palmer-Brown wore the captain's armband for the United States at the CONCACAF U20 Championship, starting all six games while finishing 11th in the tournament with 156 completed passes.
  • Danny Acosta has been a solid contributor for Real Monarchs SLC over its first two seasons, making more than 20 appearances for the side. He has since made his debut for Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer this season.
  • Acosta was one of the players who scored from the penalty spot as the United States defeated Honduras to earn the 2017 CONCACAF U20 Championship.
  • Auston Trusty, Bethlehem Steel FC

    Trusty has been a mainstay for the Steel FC over its first two seasons, making 25 appearances for the club in the USL, including every minute of the 2017 until his call-up to the U20 squad.

    A member of the CONCACAF U20 Championship-winning squad in March, Trusty was added to the World Cup squad on May 17 after an injury to Marlon Fossey saw Trusty added to the group.
