SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio FC announced on Wednesday it had added forward Bradford Jamieson IV on loan from Major League Soccer’s LA Galaxy for the 2019 USL Championship season, bringing the former United States U-20 international into Head Coach Darren Powell’s squad for the new campaign. The loan agreement is pending league and federation approval.

“I’m very excited for this new experience in a place I haven’t played before,” said Jamieson IV.  “I’m very inspired by the energy and philosophy from the players and coaches, and I’ll do my best to contribute to winning a trophy.”

Signed as Homegrown player by the Galaxy in 2014, Jamieson IV has made 61 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring four goals and earning an MLS Cup in his rookie year. Jamieson has also featured on loan with the USL Championship’s LA Galaxy II, where he has recorded 10 goals in 57 appearances.

Prior to joining the professional ranks, Jamieson was a four-year member of the U.S. Soccer U-17 Residency Program in Bradenton, Fla., and in 2015 he appeared for the United States U-20 National Team at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand. Jamieson scored seven goals in more than 25 international appearances over that span.

“We are appreciative of the LA Galaxy loaning Bradford to us for the 2019 season,” said SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell. “He is a very talented, exciting, attacking player that can fill several roles within the front line for us. We are looking forward to getting him into training and acclimated with the way we want to play as soon as possible.”

In addition to today’s transaction regarding Jamieson IV, San Antonio FC also announced that the club has mutually agreed to part ways with forward Jahir Barraza. Barraza originally joined the club on loan from FC Atlas of Liga MX in January.
