Cameron Iwasa and Republic FC will feature in 26 live TV broadcasts across the greater Sacramento area in 2019.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – On Tuesday, Sacramento Republic FC revealed its TV schedule for the 2019 USL Championship season, with exclusive partners KQCA My58 (English) and Estrella TV Sacramento (Spanish) set to produce a record 26 live broadcasts of Republic FC matches this year.

“We’re excited to partner with the KCRA family again this year to bring our passionate fans more coverage of our games than ever before,” said Republic FC President & COO Ben Gumpert. “In both Spanish and English, on TV and on mobile, we know that our fans will have more ways to watch Republic soccer than ever before.”

KQCA My58 and Estrella TV Sacramento will both produce live broadcasts of 15 home games and 11 away games, beginning with Republic FC’s season opener on March 9 against Real Monarchs SLC. Highlights from the schedule also include the club’s first-ever encounter against expansion side Austin Bold FC on April 6, rivalry matches against Reno 1868 FC on May 11 and June 29 and a road matchup against longtime foes LA Galaxy II on August 31.

English broadcasts on KQCA My58 will retain on-air talents Rob McAllister and Kevin Goldthwaite, who will be reprising their roles as play-by-play announcer and color commentator, respectively, for a sixth consecutive season.

Additionally, all Republic FC regular season matches will continue to be broadcast live via ESPN+.

“We are proud to again partner with one of the most popular sports franchises in the Sacramento area,” said KCRA 3 and KQCA My58 President and General Manager Elliott Troshinsky.  “It is very exciting for us to be able to offer the Sacramento Republic FC games in both English and Spanish.”
