Suncoast Invitational Kicks Off Saturday

The fourth-annual Suncoast Invitational kicks off this Saturday, welcoming some of Major League Soccer’s biggest stars to Al Lang Stadium. D.C. United, the Montreal Impact and the Philadelphia Union will join the Rowdies for an exciting preseason series.

"The Suncoast Invitational gives fans a chance to get their first look at an exciting 2019 Tampa Bay Rowdies roster," said Rowdies Vice Chairman Brian Auld. "And we're thrilled for the opportunity to bring one of the all-time greats, Wayne Rooney to our fans right here in downtown St. Petersburg."

Matches will kick off with a doubleheader on Saturday, February 16, followed by single matches on Wednesday, February 20 and Saturday, February 23. The matches fall in the final two weeks before the MLS season kicks off, as teams are finishing their preseason preparations.

Fans with Rowdies season tickets for the 2019 USL Championship season should contact their account executive for tickets to Suncoast Invitational matches.

For the first time, Tampa Bay Rays Season Ticket Holders can experience the Rowdies Suncoast Invitational for free through the Rays Rewards program. A limited number of tickets are available now on a first-come, first-served basis. Rays Season Ticket Holders who claim complimentary tickets via Rays Rewards will receive their tickets by going to the box office at Al Lang Stadium on the day of the event, beginning three hours before the start of the match.

Fans can purchase single game tickets to the Suncoast Invitational at rowdiessoccer.com/suncoast or via phone, by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000. For group tickets, please call the Rowdies at 727-222-2000.

Saturday, February 16
4 p.m. — Montreal Impact vs Philadelphia Union
7:30 p.m. — Tampa Bay Rowdies vs D.C. United

Wednesday, February 20
7 p.m. — Tampa Bay Rowdies vs. Montreal Impact

Saturday, February 23
7 p.m. — Montreal Impact vs D.C. United
