Managing Director Peter Wilt updates you on FMFC's progress as the season draws nearer

With 99 days to go until Forward Madison's home opener, Managing Director Peter Wilt has all the updates for you on the club's progress:

Dear Forward Madison FC fans,

To paraphrase the most beautiful words in baseball, goalkeepers and outfield players report in 28 days! As we start a new year, we are just a few short months away from our first-ever official match and a few short weeks away from our first scrimmages. Between player signings, the jersey reveal, and the start of preseason, the first game at Breese Stevens Field will be here before we know it. That’s why we wanted to give you an update of where we are ahead of these busy next few months.

JERSEY PROVIDER: We’re excited to tell you that Forward Madison FC is on the verge of announcing a three-year partnership with an international apparel company to provide the kit and equipment for FMFC. This partnership is important for a variety of reasons. First, they will provide us with high quality apparel for players and fans. Second, they were able to work with us on a truly custom jersey design. I think Forward Madison fans are going to love the unique look.

PLAYER SIGNINGS: We’ve spent many busy nights filling out the inaugural roster, and now we’re up to ten announced players with four more signed players to be announced soon (including some defenders!). It was exciting to add a Wisconsin player in J.C. Banks in December, and later this month we’ll be announcing Forward Madison’s first Madison native. We’ve also given Coach Shore a needed addition in defense with an experienced goalkeeper, Brian Sylvestre, whose signing was announced this week.

MINNESOTA UNITED CONNECTIONS: Coach Shore has spent considerable time the past two weeks with our friends from Minnesota United at the MLS Combine and at the United Soccer Coaches Convention as he continues his work of building a team capable of winning a championship for our city. Daryl will also be embedding with the United staff next week as they begins their preseason.

SEASON TICKETS: As we continue to add season ticket deposits ahead of the home opener on April 27th, we’re now planning to add a few more exclusive benefits for fans who make the commitment to support Forward Madison throughout 2019. If you haven’t done so already, place your $50 deposit per season ticket here: http://www.forwardmadison.com/tickets

CONSTRUCTION: Construction at Breese Stevens Field is moving apace as the walls of the new roof deck entertainment area are going up! Shipping containers that previously held our team offices have been removed and space is being cleared for the supporters’ stands to be brought in to create the “Flock End”. If you’re interested in seeing the construction progress up close, send us a message on social media and we’d be happy to arrange a time for one of our staff members to give you a tour.

Thank you for all your support as we work together to continue to build pro soccer in Madison. Feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions by email.

Very Best Regards,

Peter J. Wilt
Managing Director – Forward Madison FC
