BIRMINGHAM, AL (Jan. 16, 2019) – Birmingham Legion FC will open BBVA Compass Field on February 16 at 4:00 pm CT for a preseason friendly against Nashville SC. The match highlights the preseason schedule ahead of the club’s inaugural season. Season ticket holders will receive exclusive access to the match, including pre-game festivities on the stadium plaza beginning at 2:00 pm CT and a post-game meet-and-greet with players, coaches and staff.

“This is going to be a special event for Birmingham and for our supporters,” said Legion FC President and General Manager Jay Heaps. “We are honored to open our new stadium to our season ticket holders and give them an opportunity to meet our players, see us face off for the first time against a quality USL Championship team in Nashville, and build a strong foundation for this year and for years to come.”

Birmingham Legion FC’s inaugural 2019 season will kick off at home on March 9th vs. Bethlehem Steel FC and full season tickets remain for sale.
