COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced on Friday that it had signed forward Mike Seth for the 2019 USL Championship season, pending league and federation approval.

The 31-year-old returns to Colorado for his second stint with the club, having made more than 50 appearances for the Switchbacks from 2015 to 2016. He scored 12 goals during that time, including the first goal in team history in a match against OKC Energy FC on April 4, 2015. The following week, Seth scored the Switchbacks’ lone goal in the club’s first league victory, a 1-0 win against Real Monarchs SLC.

"I'm excited to be back in Colorado,” said Seth. “I'm just ready for the season to get started and get back to work."

After leaving the Switchbacks at the end of the 2016 USL Championship season, Seth joined Phoenix Rising FC and made four appearances before securing a mid-year switch to fellow Western Conference rival San Antonio FC. This past season, Seth made 13 appearances for SAFC and started seven times, recording one assist.

"Mike will give us a lot of versatility on the field because he has a lot of experience and has good soccer intelligence," said Switchbacks Head Coach Steve Trittschuh. "He has gained a lot of experience these last two years with a couple teams and he was anxious to come back to the Switchbacks. I look forward to working with him again.”
