Rising FC Unveils 2019 Preseason Schedule

Defending Western Conference champions to face four MLS clubs in buildup to new campaign

PHOENIX – Phoenix Rising FC officially announced its preseason schedule for the 2019 USL Championship season presented by Equality Health on Friday with the defending Western Conference champions set to square off against four clubs from Major League Soccer and Championship rival OKC Energy FC in the buildup to the new campaign.

Rising FC’s announcement came in conjunction with the announcement of the 2019 Mobile Mini Sun Cup, which will be hosted at both USL League One club FC Tucson’s Kino Sports Complex and the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex between February 2-23.

Phoenix’s preseason will kick off in Tucson against Minnesota United FC of Major League Soccer on Saturday, February 2, and will then return to its home venue for games against 2019 Concacaf Champions League qualifiers Sporting Kansas City on February 7 and MLS side Real Salt Lake on February 16.

Rising FC will then square off with a clash against 2018 MLS Cup finalist Portland Timbers FC on February 20 before rounding out the Mobile Mini Sun Cup against Energy FC on February 23.

Tickets for the Mobile Mini Sun Cup games go on sale Thursday, January 10th at 10 a.m. MT.
