TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Roughnecks FC announced on Monday it had signed 22-year-old striker Iddrisu Abdallah, pending league and federation approval.
“Iddrisu Abdallah is a player I actively scouted throughout last year. He has good experience in various leagues and has the potential to really put his stamp on this league,” said Roughnecks Head Coach Michael Nsien, “He will be a handful for any defense. Iddrisu is tall, wiry, athletic and strong, it’s never easy to win the ball off of him.
“Iddrisu hides the ball well and can take pressure off of his team with his excellent hold up play. We want him to come in ready to impact the team positively and score goals, right away.”
A native of Accra, Ghana, Abdallah began his professional career at Medeama S.C. before signing with Bechem United F.C. where he helped lead the team to win the 2016 Ghanian FA Cup. He then went on to play for the Mozambican club, CD Costa do Sol.
“First of all, I will say that I am grateful to have been given this opportunity by the Head Coach, Michael Nsien,” said Abdallah, “I am ready to put my best effort into putting a smile on the face of every fan.”
