USL Unveils Modernized Digital Network

New websites, social media accounts activated for USL Championship, League One, League Two

TAMPA, Fla. – After unveiling a new structure and brand identity in September, the United Soccer League (USL) brought its vision to life on Thursday by launching new digital platforms for each of its top three leagues as well as its corporate headquarters.

The USL, which oversees the USL ChampionshipUSL League One, and USL League Two, is the largest professional soccer organization in North America and possesses nearly a decade of experience in bringing the world’s game to communities across the United States and Canada. The organization is built on a proven and recognized model in international football and counts more than 100 clubs in its membership.

Based in Tampa, Fla., the USL has grown over the past decade into a model organization with strong corporate partnerships, stable organizational leadership, and a dedicated staff that provides outstanding support to member clubs and outside partners. Sanctioned by the U.S. Soccer Federation and Canadian Soccer Association, the USL is #UnitedForSoccer, moving the game forward in the United States and Canada.

To help better tell the story of the organization and its three leagues as they continue to push the limits of what is possible for professional soccer in North America, the USL has introduced the following websites in order to showcase new, engaging digital content:

United Soccer League
Originally founded in 1986, the United Soccer League has become one of the most sophisticated soccer organizations in North America over the past decade. Comprised of three leagues as it enters 2019, the USL is set to bring high-level competition to more than 100 markets across the United States and Canada in the coming years.

USL Championship
The USL Championship is one of the most successful professional soccer leagues in the world, reaching a population of more than 84 million and fueling the growth of the game across North America. In 2018, The Championship had the biggest season in its history, with almost 3 million fans attending games over the league’s regular season and postseason.

USL League One
USL League One is shaping the future of the game in the United States, uniting passionate fans in new markets with the thrill of a proven professional soccer experience. After being announced in 2017 as the USL’s third division, USL League One is set to make its debut in Spring 2019 with 10 teams prepared to feature in a 28-game season.

USL League Two
The elite pre-professional tier in North American soccer, USL League Two (formerly the PDL) features over 60 franchises in four conferences throughout the U.S. and Canada. League Two has proven to be a vital stepping-stone for top professionals now playing throughout the world, with over 70 percent of all selections in the MLS SuperDraft since 2010 having PDL experience.

To support Thursday's launch, the USL unveiled updated social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube for all three of its member leagues. Additionally, the Twitter handle @USL_HQ will be utilized as the league's official corporate account.
