Long before he was lighting up the pitch in the Music City, Lebo Moloto was just a kid with a dream. He did not lace up his first pair of proper boots until he was 13 years old - an experience not atypical in his native South Africa.
Now an accomplished veteran, Moloto has endeared himself to the Nashville SC faithful by delivering a style of play which showcases many of the same qualities that have enabled him to earn his college degree and thrive despite being more than 8,000 miles from home.
In December, Moloto will return to South Africa to host the "Chebeng Cup," a youth tournament aimed at supporting educational and soccer programs in the local community.
With the tournament fast approaching, Moloto joined USL Digital host Kelsi Steele to share the story behind the initiative and his goal of providing opportunities to those at home.
