TAMPA, Fla. – The final month of the 2018 USL regular season produced numerous outstanding stops that pushed the total number of saves past 3,200 for the year as the league’s goalkeepers combined for 296 shutouts over the seven-month season. Now it’s your turn to select the best of the five selected that will earn the USL Fans’ Choice Save of the Month award for October.

USL Fans’ Choice Save of the Month Finalists – October
Brandon Miller (CLT) - #TBRvCLT, 10/6/18: Miller reacted quickly to make a spectacular left-handed save on Sebastian Guenzatti’s close-range header to preserve three points late in his side’s 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rowdies at Al Lang Stadium.
Thomas Olsen (LV) - #SACvLV, 10/13/18: Olsen dove at full stretch to push Jure Matjasic’s initial shot off the post before quickly reacting to the rebound and denying Christian Eissele from close range in his side’s match against Sacramento Republic FC.
Bryan Byars (OKC) - #STLvOKC, 10/13/18: Byars scrambled across his goal and leaped acrobatically to parry Kadeem Dacres’ shot over the crossbar with his right hand and preserve a shutout in a 0-0 draw with Saint Louis FC.
Alexander Tambakis (NC) - #LOUvNC, 10/9/18: Tambakis got down quickly to his right to keep out a right-footed effort from USL Golden Boot winner Cameron Lancaster in his team’s clash with Louisville City FC at Slugger Field.
Matt Cardone (SA) - #SAvRGV, 10/13/18: Cardone stretched to his left to make a fingertip save on Rio Grande Valley FC’s Jesus Enriquez late in the second-half of San Antonio’s 1-1 draw to conclude the regular season at Toyota Field.
