TAMPA, Fla. – Swope Park Rangers midfielder Wan Kuzain has garnered the USL Fans’ Choice Goal of the Month for August as his outstanding free kick that helped spark the side to victory against Tulsa Roughnecks FC and landed on the ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 that night took top spot in the online poll conducted over the past weekend.

One of the top young players in the USL, Kuzain produced an outstanding free kick finish against the Roughnecks to help send the side to a 2-1 victory that was part of the club’s current four-game winning streak. The 19-year-old sent a dipping shot from the top-right side of the penalty area into the bottom-left corner, which earned the No. 2 spot on SportsCenter’s Top 10, his second time landing on the countdown this season.

Kuzain’s goal earned 30 percent of the poll conducted online at USLSoccer.com that concluded on Monday. FC Cincinnati’s Emmanuel Ledesma finished second with 26 percent for his long-range blast against the Charleston Battery at Nippert Stadium, while Louisville City FC’s Ilija Ilic finished third on 10 percent for his bicycle-kick finish against the New York Red Bulls II.
