2014 USL Cup Most Valuable Player returned for celebration on Saturday night

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Sacramento Republic FC continued its “Five Years of Glory” celebration on Saturday night when the side hosted Seattle Sounders FC 2 at Papa Murphy’s Park as it welcomed 2014 USL Cup Most Valuable Player Rodrigo Lopez for a pregame discussion of the club’s championship inaugural season and a halftime ceremony honoring the former USL All-League selection.

Sacramento went on to take a 3-0 victory in front of a sellout crowd of 11,569 fans behind two goals from Christian Eissele and a 13th of the season by Cameron Iwasa, who surpassed his own single-season club record for goals in the process.
