GIRONA, Spain – The Charleston Battery’s Ataulla Guerra scored the opening goal and Indy Eleven’s Nathan Lewis had a goal and assist as Trinidad & Tobago took a 2-0 victory against the United Arab Emirates on Thursday evening in an international exhibition.

Guerra – who leads the Battery with 14 goals this season – opened the scoring in the 37th minute as he took a low cross by Lewis from the left and feinted past his marker before finishing low to the left corner of the net. Lewis added a second 13 minutes into the second half when he got on the end of a cross by former Seattle Sounders FC defender Joevin Jones and finished from close range.

The Charlotte Independence’s Kevan George also started for the Soca Warriors, going the full 90 minutes in the win, while Neveal Hackshaw came on as a 67th-minute substitute for his Battery teammate Guerra.
