As evidenced once again this past Tuesday night when Reno 1868 FC’s Antoine Hoppenot scored with almost the last kick of the game against Las Vegas Lights FC at Greater Nevada Field, there’s nothing quite like a dramatic late game-winning goal to turn the course of a game and get the heart racing.
For this week’s ranking, we’ve picked out 12 of our favorite game-winning goals from the 2018 season. The key stipulations are that the goal had to occur in the 90th minute or later of the game and had to claim victory for the side it was scored by.
And no, there aren’t any penalty kicks here. Sorry.
Select your favorites from the list below and let us know on Twitter or Facebook which other game-winning goals this season stood out to you as we gear up for the 2018 USL Cup Playoffs.
