OKLAHOMA CITY – OKC Energy FC announced on Thursday that goalkeeper Cody Laurendi, defender Atiba Harris and forward Jaime Siaj have each been selected for international duty in the upcoming week, with the potential that Laurendi and Harris could square off as Puerto Rico and St. Kitts & Nevis meet in the Concacaf Nations League on September 9.

“This is a tremendous personal honor and an exciting opportunity for these players to represent their countries,” said Cooke. “For our club to have three players earn an international call up at the same time is a testament to their own hard work as well as the quality and character of the entire roster. We will miss the daily presence of these players, but it will give others a wonderful opportunity. We wish the three of them and their international teams the very best of luck at these upcoming games.”

Laurendi returns to Puerto Rico’s squad after making his debut for the country last year in an international exhibition against Indonesia. Laurendi recently made his return to action this season after suffering a season-ending knee injury late in the 2017 season. The club’s all-time leader in wins and shutouts, Laurendi has recorded two shutouts in four appearances for OKC this season.

Harris has made 60 appearances for St. Kitts & Nevis at the senior level, having previously represented the country throughout the youth ranks prior to the start of his professional career. Harris has scored 14 goals at the international level and has also found the net since joining Energy FC this season with one goal in nine appearances for the side.

Siaj, meanwhile, was selected for a second time by Jordan after scoring in his debut for the country in May during a 3-0 win against Cyprus. An offseason signing by Energy FC, Siaj is tied for third on the team this season with four goals in 22 appearances for the club.

The three players will depart following this Sunday’s game against the Swope Park Rangers and are expected to be unavailable for Energy FC’s match at Orange County on September 8 before returning ahead of the club’s game against the LA Galaxy II on September 12.
