TAMPA, Fla. – ATL UTD 2 forward Devon Sandoval has earned the USL Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week for Week 20 of the 2018 season as his outstanding bicycle-kick finish against Bethlehem Steel FC last Sunday afternoon took top spot in the weekly online poll.

Sandoval’s bicycle kick wasn’t the first to claim Goal of the Week honors this season but was a perfectly-executed finish that provided a bright spot for the visitors at Goodman Stadium. It also provided a glimpse of what could be to come in 2019 for USL New Mexico’s fans with Sandoval having previously been introduced as the first signing in the club’s history upon its unveiling.

Sandoval’s goal earned 67 percent of the poll conducted online at USLSoccer.com that concluded on Thursday. The New York Red Bulls II’s Jared Stroud finished second on 13 percent for his outstanding curled finish against the Tampa Bay Rowdies last Saturday night, while the Portland Timbers 2’s Eryk Williamson took third with 10 percent for his low finish off Jeremy Ebobisse’s outstanding heel-flick pass against the LA Galaxy II.
