TAMPA, Fla. – Goalkeepers across the USL combined to record almost 50 shutouts and 549 saves across a busy month of June in the 2018 regular season which saw another wide selection of highlight-reel saves by the league’s top shot-stoppers. Now it’s your turn to select the best of the five selected that will earn the USL Fans’ Choice Save of the Month award.

USL Fans’ Choice Save of the Month Finalists – June
Alex Mangels (POR) - #SAvPOR, 6/2/18: Mangels went at full-stretch to keep out a first-time strike by San Antonio’s Mikey Lopez that was pegged for the top-left corner of the net at Toyota Field.
Evan Newton (CIN) - #NCvCIN, 6/9/18: Newton produced a fine reflex stop that parried the ball clear to avoid a rebound opportunity as he denied a strong header by North Carolina FC’s Daniel Rios.
Fabian Cerda (TUL) - #PHXvTUL, 6/16/18: Cerda shifted across his goal perfectly to make a fingertip save on a free kick by Phoenix Rising FC’s Chris Cortez that was headed to the top-right corner of the net.
Alex Tambakis (NC) - #NCvLOU, 6/23/18: Tambakis produced an excellent stop to keep out a long-range strike by Louisville City FC’s Speedy Williams, palming the effort to the top-left corner over the crossbar.
Justin Garces (ATL) - #NSHvATL, 6/30/18: Garces recovered quickly from an initial shot by Nashville’s Brandon Allen that came back off the left post to punch away the striker’s goal-bound rebound effort.
