1. Nashville SC's impressive eight-game league unbeaten run has come to an end, along with its undefeated home record. Indy Eleven inflicted the first home defeat on Nashville, a 2-0 result for its fourth road win of the season.

2. With a win tonight, Indy moved up to fourth place in the USL Eastern Conference and kept its form going, now up to four straight matches without defeat and three straight wins. Saturday will see it host another in-form side, Penn FC in a match that could have a big impact on the USL Cup Playoffs.

3. Real Monarchs SLC extended its lead at the top of the USL Western Conference with a tight win over Fresno FC. That win was the fourth in the last five games for the Monarchs.

A goal in the eighth minute managed to hold up as Real Monarchs SLC extended its lead on top of the USL Western Conference with a 1-0 win against Fresno FC at Zions Bank Stadium.

A powerful run from the Monarchs’ Andrew Brody saw him break past three defenders before perfectly placing his strike to open the scoring with his first of the season. Fresno pushed the Monarchs but that lead would hold on to half time.

In the 69th minute, Fresno’s comeback attempt took a big hit when Jemal Johnson earned his second yellow card for a challenge on Brody, reducing his side to ten men. Man of the Match:
