TAMPA, Fla. – Rio Grande Valley FC’s Jesus Enriquez has claimed the USL Fans’ Choice Goal of the Month for May as his outstanding strike in the USL Game of the Week for the Toros against Fresno FC on May 9 at Chukchansi Park took top spot following the conclusion of the online poll at USLSoccer.com held this past weekend.

Enriquez’s first goal of the season was out of the top drawer as he picked up possession from Aldo Quintanilla on the left side of the penalty area and then cut inside onto his right foot, creating space enough space from his marker to curl a finish into the top-right corner of the net that left Fresno goalkeeper Kyle Reynish with little chance to keep it from finding the back of the net.

Enriquez's strike received 34 percent of the online poll conducted at USLSoccer.com that concluded on Monday morning. FC Cincinnati’s Nazmi Albadawi claimed second place with 21 percent for his 25-yard blast to the top-right corner against North Carolina FC at Nippert Stadium, while Louisville City FC’s Cameron Lancaster took third with 19 percent for his free kick against FC Cincinnati that proved to be the game-winner in the second meeting between the club’s this season.
