TAMPA, Fla. – ATL UTD 2’s Lagos Kunga wowed fans with his first professional goal in Week 3 of the 2018 USL regular season, and his tally has now been voted the USL Fans’ Choice Goal of the Month for March after the conclusion of the online poll at USLSoccer.com held this past weekend.
A week before the 2018 USL Experience, which Kunga attended two years ago in Cincinnati before joining the Atlanta United Academy, the former U.S. U20 international showed off his dribbling and finishing skills in ATL UTD’s 2-2 draw with the Charlotte Independence.
Kunga's strike received 72 percent of the online poll conducted at USLSoccer.com that concluded on Monday morning. Jack Blake’s first goal for the Tampa Bay Rowdies, which capped a 3-1 victory against North Carolina FC on March 17, finished second on 12 percent, while Sacramento Republic FC’s Cameron Iwasa took third on 10 percent for his outstanding finish that proved the game-winner in a 1-0 victor against Orange County SC.
