Award-winning legal firm becomes league’s Official Immigration Law Supplier

TAMPA, Fla. – The United Soccer Leagues, LLC, announced today it had entered a multi-year partnership with Pabian Law, establishing the award-winning legal firm as the Official Immigration Law Supplier for all related properties, including the United Soccer League – one of the most prominent Division II professional leagues in the world – USL’s Division III, the Premier Development League (PDL) and the Super Y League. The partnership adds to the growing list of organizations that are part of the league’s Preferred Supplier Program.

Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Pabian Law specializes in representing companies, organizations, seasonal businesses, and those in the sports industry. With the USL’s rapid growth, which saw players from 75 countries compete in the league during the 2017 season, the partnership will provide the league and its clubs access to customized solutions to ensure the rising level of talent within the league maintains its current trajectory.

“We are thrilled to have Pabian Law as our Official Immigration Law Supplier,” said USL President Jake Edwards. “Immigration Law is a highly important subject for our clubs to secure international players and coaches, many of whom have helped the league reach its current high level on the field. We are ecstatic to partner with the finest in the industry to ensure that our clubs and players are in good hands, allowing them to focus on performing at the highest level.”

“The USL and its teams have meant so much to our firm for so many years,” said Keith Pabian, Founding Partner of Pabian Law. “The USL is at the heart of our sports practice. In fact, much of our strategy in how we have built out our sports practice has been aimed at how to best service the USL and its teams. We look forward to a long future of continuing to work with our great friends at the USL and its teams across North America.”

The USL will oversee the expansion of an estimated 30–40 new franchises at the second and third divisions of professional soccer over the next five years, which will create opportunities for potential suppliers and vendors to support this growth.

Through its Preferred Supplier Program, the USL will connect suppliers with new franchise owners and existing USL clubs in order to deliver the best possible experience for fans across North America. Preferred suppliers are “Best in Class” companies that provide services and products to professional franchises and stadium developers and must meet the USL’s strict quality standards. The USL is currently in discussions with suppliers that support stadium development, as well as the buildout of team front offices and operations.
