Troyer Re-Signs with Kickers for New Season

Shanosky, Imura also among 12 players set to return for 2018 season

RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Kickers announced on Friday it had re-signed three players as part of the club’s initial roster moves for the 2018 season. The trio of Matt Bolduc, Alex Lee and Braeden Troyer have re-signed with the Kickers, pending league and federation approval.

Troyer will enter his fourth season with the Kickers having made 84 appearances for the club over the past three years. The versatile defensive player led Richmond with 64 interceptions and 127 duels won in 28 appearances in the 2017 regular season.
Additionally, the Kickers announced the club had exercised contract options on Raul Gonzalez, Mallan Roberts and Finnlay Wyatt. Six other players remain under contract for the 2018 season, including Marcel DeBellis, Yudai Imura, Luiz Fernando, Fred Owusu Sekyere, Conor Shanosky and Oscar Umar.
The Kickers declined options on Evan Lee, Patrick McCann, Oliver Minatel, Mikey Minutillo and Alex Wimmer.  Jackson Eskay has been released by the club in a decision made by mutual agreement.
