HARRISON, N.J. – The New York Red Bulls II announced on Friday it had exercised options on four players and declined the options of two, with midfielder Andrew Tinari among the players set to return to the 2017 USL Eastern Conference finalist for the new season.

Tinari will be joined by defenders Noah Powder, Ethan Kutler, and Jordan Scarlett next season, all of whom had options picked up by the Red Bulls II, while the club elected to decline options on goalkeeper Rafael Diaz and defender David Abidor. Forward Douglas Martinez will return to his club, CD Vida in Honduras, following the end of his loan.

Also set to return to the club is defender Andrew Lombard, who remains under contract for the 2018 season.

“For the players that are moving on, I want to thank them for their hard work and wish them continued success in their careers,” said NYRB II Head Coach John Wolyniec. “The best part of my job is getting to know and help impressive young men.”

Defenders Tim Schmoll and David Najem, midfielder Florian Valot, and forwards Junior Flemmings and Stefano Bonomo are also out of contract with the club. The Red Bulls II said the club is in talks with Valot and Bonomo for the 2018 season.
