Saint Louis was eliminated from playoff contention following a 2-0 loss to the Harrisburg City Islanders last Saturday night as Orlando City B's victory on Sunday mathematically ended the club's hopes of a first trip to the playoffs.
After conceding the opening goal in the fourth minute, Saint Louis never got back into the match before conceding a second with 15 minutes to go as the side suffered its first loss in three games.
The City Islanders restricted Saint Louis well, holding them mostly to midfield and restricting Saint Louis to just eight shots overall and four shots on target.
Saint Louis is one of three teams that has not surpassed 300 shots in the USL regular season as it sits on 293 shots for the season. Only the LA Galaxy II (275) and Orlando City B (270) have fewer.
Richmond Kickers news and notes

The Kickers come into this match following a 1-0 loss to Orlando City B on Sunday night in the club's regular-season home finale at City Stadium.
After holding out Orlando for much of the match, OCB struck through Hadji Barry's ninth goal of the season in the 80th minute, handing the Kickers their 15th defeat of the season.
The Kickers welcomed a crowd of 6,581 to City Stadium for the contest, pushing their season average above 4,500 for the first time in club history. Richmond has now increased its average attendance in every year since 2012.
In their last six matches the Kickers have alternated wins and losses, but has won only once on the road this season as it ends the year with a pair of games away from home.
