TAMPA, Fla. – The following is the USL’s discipline report for Week 28 of the 2017 United Soccer League season:
The Charleston Battery’s Forrest Lasso has been suspended one game after receiving a red card for two cautions in this past Sunday’s game against Ottawa Fury FC. Lasso will serve his suspension when the Battery face the Harrisburg City Islanders this Saturday night.
FC Cincinnati’s Kenney Walker has been suspended one game after receiving a red card for two cautions in last Friday’s game against the Charlotte Independence. Walker will serve his suspension this Sunday when Cincinnati visits Ottawa Fury FC.
The Richmond Kickers’ Oscar Umar has been suspended one game after being sent off for senior foul play in this past Sunday’s game against Orlando City B. Umar will serve his suspension on Saturday when the Kickers visit Saint Louis FC.
Swope Park Rangers Assistant Coach Paulo Nagamura has been suspended for one game after being dismissed from the bench area in the Rangers’ contest against Rio Grande Valley FC this past Saturday. Nagamura will serve his suspension this Sunday when Swope Park visits OKC Energy FC.
Five players have been suspended for caution accumulation. Toronto FC II’s Liam Fraser and Bethlehem Steel FC’s Cory Burke will be unavailable for Friday night’s game between the two clubs at the Ontario Soccer Centre. The Harrisburg City Islanders’ Ropapa Mensah and Pedro Ribeiro will be unavailable for their team’s game on Saturday with the Charleston Battery. Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC’s Josh Phillips will be unavailable for Saturday’s game with Sacramento Republic FC.
The New York Red Bulls II’s Andrew Tinari and Orlando City B’s Fernando Timbo are no longer on caution accumulation warning, having had one caution removed under the USL’s Good Behavior incentive to place them on three cautions for the season.
Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2's David Norman Jr. is no longer on caution accumulation warning, having had one caution removed under the USL’s Good Behavior incentive to place him on six cautions for the season.
The following 38 players enter their upcoming matches one caution away from a yellow card accumulation suspension. A fifth caution would result in a one-game suspension and undisclosed fine. Here is the breakdown per club:
