TAMPA, Fla. – Charleston Battery forward Romario Williams has been voted the USL Player of the Month for June of the 2017 season. Williams recorded five goals in four games for the Battery in June, helping the side remain on top of the USL Eastern Conference standings. Williams moved into the league lead with 14 goals in the race for the USL Golden Boot.
Williams received 44 percent of a weighted poll that included the USL Technical Committee, a national panel of independent media representing every USL market, and an online fan vote held at USLSoccer.com. Real Monarchs SLC midfielder Sebastian Velasquez finished second with 21 percent and Sacramento Republic FC forward Trevin Caesar finished third with 15 percent.
