RENO, Nev. – Reno 1868 FC will host its first international exhibition in club history on Saturday night when Liga MX’s Club Atlas visits Greater Nevada Field to face the USL Western Conference playoff contender. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT, and the game will be streamed live on the club's YouTube channel.

Saturday’s contest will be the second international exhibition in Greater Nevada Field history, following the clash between the USL’s Sacramento Republic FC and Liverpool FC U21s last year. A crowd of 6,287 was in attendance for that clash, as Reno prepared for its expansion season this year in the USL.

1868 FC enters Saturday’s exhibition in excellent form, sitting in fourth place in the USL Western Conference ahead of this weekend’s league action. Reno set a USL record in its last outing with its 9-0 victory against the LA Galaxy II on Monday night the biggest margin of victory in a USL game. Chris Wehan had two goals and two assists in the game, and is now tied for the league-lead with seven assists, while Dane Kelly sits second in the USL with 13 goals this season.

Club Atlas is coming off a 2-0 victory against Chivas de Guadalajara on Wednesday night at in front of more than 8,000 fans Toyota Field, home of the USL’s San Antonio FC, in a preseason exhibition. Founded in 1916, Atlas is one of the most historic clubs in Mexican history, and put in a strong performance earlier this year to reach the playoffs in the 2016-17 Liga MX Clausura. Argentine striker Matías Alustiza finished tied for second in the league with eight goals, while the side also boasts the likes of Mexico legend Rafael Marquez in its squad.

Reno returns to USL action next on July 15 as it visits Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 at Thunderbird Stadium, with the club’s next home league game set for July 22 against the Portland Timbers 2 at Greater Nevada Field.
