KINGSTON, Jamaica – New York Red Bulls II standout Junior Flemmings was named in Jamaica’s squad for the 2017 Caribbean Cup on Monday, one of four USL players called up for the tournament in Martinique this week as Jamaica looks to defend its championship.

Also named in the squad were Bethlehem Steel FC’s Cory Burke and the Rochester Rhinos’ Sergio Campbell, who joins the Tampa Bay Rowdies’ Damion Lowe in the squad’s defensive contingent. Jamaica will play French Guiana on Thursday in the tournament’s semifinals, with the winner of the contest facing either Martinique or Curacao in the final on Sunday.

Flemmings, the No. 6 selection in the 2016 USL 20 Under 20, has rebounded well from a season-ending knee injury late in the 2016 season to earn his first recall to the Reggae Boyz since it occurred. Flemmings has recorded four goals in 13 appearances for the Red Bulls II this season, giving him 11 goals for his USL career so far.

While Flemmings and Lowe earned their return to the squad, Burke and Campbell were both retained from the squad that traveled to Peru last week for an international exhibition. Burke made the start against Peru, continuing a strong 2017 which has also seen him record two goals in 11 appearances for Steel FC.

Campbell, meanwhile, has made four appearances so far this season for the Rhinos after having made 26 appearances for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds a season ago.
