OKC Energy FC goalkeeper Cody Laurendi put in a strong performance in his debut for the Puerto Rico National Team on Tuesday night as the side played to a 0-0 draw in an international exhibition against Indonesia in front of a crowd of 16,592 at the Stadion Maguwoharjo in Sleman, Indonesia.

Laurendi was called on early to come up big, and denied Indonesia’s Marinus Maryanto Wanewar as he broke into the left side of the penalty area alone in the eighth minute. The 28-year-old also made a big save late in the half, tipping a free kick destined for the top-right corner onto the crossbar, from where the rebound was squandered.

Indonesia had the better of the game overall, but were wasteful at times with the chances they created. Puerto Rico almost grabbed the lead in the 90th minute as Jorge Rivera hit the crossbar off a low cross from the left, and Mike Ramos had his rebound effort cleared off the line. Laurendi had to come up with one final big save in stoppage time when Febri Haryadi got in on the left side of the penalty area, but the Energy FC captain stood firm to earn the shutout.
