OKLAHOMA CITY – OKC Energy FC goalkeeper Cody Laurendi has been named in Puerto Rico’s squad that will face Indonesia in an international exhibition next Tuesday. Next Tuesday’s game will be played at the Stadion Maguwoharjo in Sleman, Indonesia, with kickoff set for 9:30 a.m. ET.

Laurendi will be absent from Energy FC’s next two goals, against San Antonio FC on Saturday at Taft Stadium in the USL regular season and the Colorado Rapids next Tuesday night in the Fourth Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

“I'm extremely excited for the opportunity to represent the Puerto Rican national team,” Laurendi said. “While it's not great to leave in the middle of a good run, I know C.J. (Cochran, goalkeeper) will step in to my place and the boys won't miss a beat.”

Laurendi has competed in the USL for the past four seasons, and has made 38 USL appearances for Energy FC since joining the club prior to the 2016 season. This year he has recorded two shutouts in 10 games, and holds a 1.40 goal-against average, while also serving as the team’s captain.
