Vote for your favorite goal from the past month of the season

TAMPA, Fla. – The month of May in the 2017 USL regular season saw some outstanding finishes across the league. Now it’s your turn to select the best of the 10 goals selected that will earn the USL Fans’ Choice Goal of the Month award.

USL Fans’ Choice Goal of the Month Finalists – May

  • Victor Souto (PGH) - #PGHvTOR, 5/3/17: Souto’s standout strike landed him at the No. 2 spot on ESPN’s SportsCenter Top 10 and gave the Riverhounds a 1-0 victory against TFC II.
     
  • Todd Wharton (RGV) - #RGVvSPR, 5/13/17: Wharton’s first goal for the Toros came off a beautiful piece of invention by Eric Bird, and the former Portland Timbers U-23s standout finished with aplomb.
     
  • A.J. Ajeakwa (SA) - #SAvPHX, 5/20/17: Ajeakwa completed an outstanding counterattack by San Antonio that saw Billy Forbes and Kris Tyrpak combine in the buildup to set up the striker for a fine finish.
     
  • Derrick Etienne Jr. (NY) - #NYvCHS, 5/28/17: Etienne’s perfectly placed free kick earned the Haitian international his first goal this season, and sent the Red Bulls II to a 2-1 victory against the Charleston Battery.
     
  • Jordan Burt (COS) - #COSvRNO, 5/27/17: Burt put home an excellent header for his second goal of the game to earn the Switchbacks a dramatic 3-3 draw with Reno 1868 FC at Weidner Field.
     
  • Jerry van Ewijk (OC) - #OCvLA, 5/6/17: In Orange County’s home opener, Van Ewijk’s perfectly-chipped finish provided a high point for OCSC’s 4-0 victory against I-405 Derby rivals the LA Galaxy II.
     
  • Shaun Wright-Phillips (PHX) - #PHXvOKC, 5/13/17: Wright-Phillips’ outstanding stoppage-time finish earned Rising FC a 2-1 victory against Energy FC.
     
  • Sito Seoane (OTT) - #OTTvNY, 5/20/17: Seoane’s curling finish from 25 yards highlighted a standout month for the Spaniard in league and cup play, and helped Ottawa earn a 4-3 victory.
     
  • Juan Pablo Caffa (TUL) - #TULvVAN, 5/11/17: Caffa’s well-placed free kick was one of a number of highlights by the Argentinian playmaker in May, and led Tulsa to a 3-1 win against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2.
     
  • Danni König (CIN) - #CINvBST, 5/20/17: König’s first goal for FC Cincinnati came from a great cross by Jimmy McLaughlin that allowed the Danish striker to flick his header into the right corner of the net.
