TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Roughnecks FC announced on Thursday a new uniform partnership for the 2017 USL season, as the club became the first professional soccer team in the United States to be outfitted in New Balance uniforms.

New Balance is the uniform supplier for several internationally prominent teams, including Liverpool F.C. of the Premier League, Celtic F.C. in the Scottish Premier League and Sevilla F.C. in La Liga Santander. New Balance is also the uniform supplier for the Costa Rica and Panama national teams in CONCACAF. 

"We are thrilled to join the family of teams that are working with New Balance for uniforms," said Roughnecks President and General Manager Mike Melega. "New Balance is an internationally-known brand that provides quality products. We know that our players will look great on the field and that our fans will look just as good in New Balance apparel off the field."

The Roughnecks are working with the New Balance on a new design for the 2017 uniforms. The home kits are expected to feature TRFC's traditional orange color, but the away kits may feature a completely new look.

"New Balance is proud to be the official uniform provider of the Tulsa Roughnecks,” said New Balance’s Matt Flaherty. “The agreement represents an exciting step for New Balance soccer as the brand's first USL partnership. The Roughnecks have a strong, local fan base and we look forward to working with them to provide the best in New Balance gear."

The Roughnecks and New Balance expect to unveil the new uniforms in February. At that time, a wide selection of Roughnecks, New Balance apparel will be available in the Roughnecks Team Store.
