Toronto FC II announced Monday that it has exercised contract options on six players, while four players are already under guaranteed contract for the 2017 season. The club has also re-signed midfielder Bubacarr Jobe to a USL contract. The exercised options and re-signing are pending league and federation approval.

Toronto FC II has picked up the contract options on defenders Mitchell Taintor and Anthony Osorio, midfielders Brian James and Luca Uccello and forwards Raheem Edwards and Ricardo John.

The four players already under contract for the 2017 season are midfielders Aidan Daniels, Malik Johnson and Liam Fraser and forward Shaan Hundal.

“Providing the opportunity to play meaningful games in a professional environment will be vital to their growth as young professionals,” said Toronto FC General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko.

TFCII has not exercised the option on midfielder Martin Davis. In addition, defenders Skylar Thomas and Wesley Charpie, midfielders Adam Bouchard and Sal Bernal and forward Ben Spencer’s contracts will expire at the end of the year, making them free agents.
