Omar Bravo leads squad that will face Energy FC on June 28

OKLAHOMA CITY – C.D. Guadalajara has announced the travelling roster for the club’s international exhibitions against the USL’s OKC Energy FC on June 28 at Taft Stadium, with club captain and Mexico legend Omar Bravo leading the squad according to a report from The Oklahoman’s Chris Brannick.

Bravo is Chivas’ all-time leading scorer, having recorded more than 350 appearances for the club he broke into the professional ranks with in 2001. This past fall, he finished sixth in Liga MX with 10 goals, and also helped the club to victory in the Copa MX last November.

Also included in the squad is current starting goalkeeper Jose Antonio Rodriguez, who was a member of the Mexico U23 National Team that took victory at the 2012 London Olympics. Mexico youth international Hegardo Marin, who played for the country’s U23 team this past cycle, is also included in the squad, as is Carlos Pena, who led the side with seven goals in its recent Clausura campaign this spring.

Former Mexico international Carlos Salcedo will continue his role as vice-captain alongside Bravo in the squad. Mexico international Carlos Pena, who is currently competing in the Copa America Centenario for El Tri, has also been provisionally named in the squad, but could be withdrawn should Mexico advance to the semifinals this weekend.
