COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC hits the road again this weekend, this time to take on fellow USL Western Conference club Arizona United SC on Saturday.

This will be the first meeting between the two clubs. The match will be played at Arizona United SC’s new Scottsdale Stadium, which saw a record-breaking crowd of more than 6,100 for their home opener last weekend.

While this is the inaugural USL season for the Switchbacks FC (2-3-0), it is the second for Arizona United SC (3-2-0), which is currently fifth in the conference. So far this season, Switchbacks FC has come out on top against Real Monarchs SLC, but has dropped in heartbreaking losses to the Austin Aztex and OKC Energy FC.

“We are looking forward to regaining the momentum that we had after the two wins over the Monarchs,”said Switchbacks FC Head Coach Steve Trittschuh. “We had a poor 20 minutes to start the game last weekend in Austin and we have worked on being intense from the opening whistle. The team has improved in each game we have played and the players are gaining more confidence in each other.”
