CARSON, Calif. – Arizona United SC’s Long Tan scored in second-half stoppage time to lead his side to a dramatic 2-1 victory against the host LA Galaxy II on Thursday night at StubHub Center’s Track & Field Stadium.

Arizona United SC moved to 2-0-0 on the season while Los Dos dropped to 0-2-1. LA Galaxy Homegrown Player Bradford Jamieson IV tallied a first-half goal for LA Galaxy II, assisted by Raul Mendiola.

Galaxy II opened up the scoring in the 18th minute with Jamieson’s first goal of the season. Fellow Galaxy Homegrown Player Raul Mendiola played a ball over the top of the defense to put Jamieson in on goal. With a perfect first touch, the forward set himself up to place the ball in the far side of the net to give Los Dos the lead.

Just after halftime, Arizona United SC leveled the score in the 52nd minute after Dennis Chin tapped in a corner kick in front of the net.

The Galaxy II outshot Arizona United 14-9 on the night but were unable to find a second goal despite strong second-half chances.

Deep into stoppage time, Arizona United SC found the game-winner on a goal from Tan, assisted by Dennis Chin. Chin found space on the left side before playing to Tan, who fired a shot from the top of the 18 to give the visitors all three points.

Los Dos are in action next when they travel north for a game against their California rivals, Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday, April 11, at 10:30 p.m. ET. The match will be Republic FC’s home opening match of the 2015 USL season.

Arizona United SC next travels to face the Austin Aztex on Saturday, April 11, at House Park. Kickoff is at 9 p.m. ET.
