BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Brooklyn FC announced on Tuesday the club had signed defender Vuk Latinovich ahead of its inaugural season in the USL Championship this spring. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
Latinovich joins Brooklyn FC having most recently played for fellow USL Championship club Orange County SC in the past campaign. The 28-year-old recorded 27 appearances across the regular season and playoffs for OCSC, recording two goals while also recording 115 clearances, 52 recoveries and 24 interceptions while helping the side reach the USL Championship Playoffs.
A native of Brookfield, Wisc., Latinovich began his professional career in 2021 after being selected in the Third Round of the Major League Soccer SuperDraft by New York City FC. The center back made 12 appearances across all competitions across two seasons with the club before heading to Europe, signing with FCI Levadia in Estonia.
He went on to play for GS Ilioupolis in Greece, and Sandnes Ulf in Norway before returning to the U.S. with Orange County last April.
