LEESBURG, Va. – Loudoun United FC announced on Monday the club had acquired midfielder Jack Panayotou on loan from the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer through the 2026 season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
Panayotou joins Loudoun United FC after prior loan spells in the USL Championship with Rhode Island FC and Hartford Athletic. During his loan spell with Rhode Island during the he helped the team claim the Eastern Conference title and reach the USL Championship Final. He followed this by joining Hartford in 2025, where he assisted the team in winning the USL Cup and reaching the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
Overall, the 21-year-old has recorded three goals, six assists and 32 chances created in 25 appearances and 1,277 minutes of action in the USL Championship while also notching a pair of goals in his lone appearance in the USL Cup.
“I’m excited for this new chapter and thankful for the opportunity to be here,” said Panayotou. “I’m ready to work hard, grow every day, and do whatever I can to help this team succeed.”
Panayotou developed within the New England Revolution Academy and has represented the United States at a youth international level. He was a member of the Revolution Academy U-19 team that won the 2022 MLS NEXT Cup Championship, scoring six goals during the tournament, including the game-winning goal in the championship match. He was also named the 2022 UnitedHealthcare Revolution Academy Player of the Year.

Despite being just 21 years of age, he has already gained valuable experience through two loan spells in the USL, demonstrating his ability to compete effectively at this level and influence matches,” said United Head Coach Anthony Limbrick. “He is an attacking player who is comfortable carrying the ball and taking on opponents in 1v1 situations.
