ATLANTA – Orange County SC defender Tyson Espy and San Antonio FC midfielder Landry Walker have been selected in the United States U-17 Men’s National Team squad that will compete in the 2026 Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers in February as the side bids to reach the FIFA U-17 World Cup in November.
The USL Championship duo are part of a 21-player squad selected by Head Coach Alex Aldaz that will head to St. Vincent and the Grenadines for qualifying. The U.S. was drawn into Group E and kicks off its qualifying campaign against hosts St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. ET before games against St. Kitts and Nevis on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. ET and the Dominican Republic on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. ET.
All three matches will be played at Arnos Vale Stadium in Kingstown, with the group winner advancing to the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.
A product of San Antonio FC’s Academy, Walker has made nine appearances in the USL Championship since becoming the youngest player in the club’s history aged 15 years, 24 days old against FC Tulsa in the 2024 campaign. The central midfielder has logged 295 minutes of action and posted a passing accuracy rate of 78.7 percent while also recording 10 recoveries and one chance created in USL Championship play, and also made three appearances in the 2025 USL Cup.
Espy joined the professional ranks with Orange County midway through the 2025 season having previously come through the Los Angeles FC Academy. The center back logged three brief appearances for the side, completing 19 of 20 passes and winning 2 of 3 duels in 15 minutes. Espy has previously earned 10 call-ups to the U.S. Youth National Team program, most recently for the U.S. U-17 camp in Dubai in November, where he appeared in all three matches and earned two starts.
Broadcast information for the competition will be confirmed at a later date. The team will hold pre-camp in West Palm Beach, Fla. beginning Jan. 27 before transitioning to St. Vincent on Feb. 2.
