PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC announced on Tuesday it has agreed to restructured contracts with second-year defenders Beto Ydrach and Guillaume Vacter for the 2026 season with club options for the 2027 campaign. The transactions are pending league and federation approval.

Ydrach netted the clinching penalty kick in the Hounds’ shootout win against FC Tulsa to secure the club’s first USL Championship title this past November, and he also headed the game-winning goal in the team’s U.S. Open Cup victory over New York City FC in the Round of 32 last year.

A Puerto Rico international with 17 appearances for his national team, Ydrach started 31 of the Hounds’ 33 contests across the regular season and playoffs as a rookie out of the University of Akron. He ranked second on the team with 33 interceptions and 190 duels won, logging a 56.2 percent success rate in duels, and ranked third on the team in winning 33 tackles at a 71.7 percent success rate.

Vacter signed with the Hounds a month into the 2025 season, and shortly after his April 26 debut for the team locked down an everyday starting role at center back. The native of Paris and first-year pro out of the University of Connecticut started the Hounds’ final 23 regular-season matches and the playoff opener against Hartford Athletic before an injury knocked him out of the lineup in November.

The 25-year-old recorded 26 interceptions and 111 clearances while winning 26 tackles at a 68.4 percent success rate, 160 duels at a 62.3 percent success rate and 104 aerial duels at a 66.2 percent success rate.

“Gui and Beto played important roles in our success last season, and we’re excited to reward them with new contracts,” said Hounds Sporting Director Dan Visser. “We expect them to remain key pieces within the group for years to come.”
