BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham Legion FC announced on Tuesday it had signed forward Ronaldo Damus ahead of 2026 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

Damus competed for Legion in 2025 on loan from Swedish club GIF Sundsvall and recorded 11 goals in 30 appearances during the regular season, marking his fourth season with double-digit goals in his USL Championship career. The 26-year-old also recorded a 53.5% shooting accuracy rate and 25.6% shot conversion rate over the campaign.

“He lives to score goals; he competes every minute, and he raises the level of everyone around him,” said Legion Head Coach Jay Heaps. "Our fans saw what he can do, and we’re excited to have him back leading our attack.”

A Haitian international, Damus developed through the FC Dallas academy and North Texas SC, where he claimed the 2019 USL League One Golden Boot and helped the side win the league titles, before building a strong USL Championship resume with Orange County SC, San Diego Loyal SC, Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC. In 2021, Damus led Orange County to the USL Championship title, earning MVP honors in the club’s 3-1 victory against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Over his career, Damus has recorded 49 goals in 120 regular season appearances at a strike rate of a goal every 186.1 minutes. He is also tied for the league’s postseason record with nine goals in nine appearances in the USL Championship Playoffs.
